ITM Universe - Central Library

ITM (Group of Institutions) has one of the largest library space in the state. It has been aptly named ‘Akshar Dham’ central library. Organization has been continuously enriching & Updating library in both way (print as well as online) with more than 65011 books and more than 7509 titles and 3000 CDs & DVDs on relevant subjects such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics & Instrumentation, Mechanical, Chemical, VLSI, Humanities, Education, Biotechnology, etc. Under INDEST-AICTE consortium, oganisation has subscribe to 512 Springer Online international journals for UG, 241 IEEE Online International Journals for Computer Science and 1821 EBSCO Online International Journals, News wire, Trade Publication and Magazines for Management which can be access in the whole campus. Organisation has also subscribed to 200 National

Journals, Reputed & Leading Magazines on diverse subjects Viz. IT, Electronics, Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, etc. and general awareness like Newspaper, magazines are being regularly subscribed.

Digital library with 45 PCs have been established with collection of expert lectures, presentations, reports and access to the other lectures from the institutes of national repute. An exclusive multi media room has been specially dedicated for the in-house use from our rich store of more than 3115 web lectures on around 120 topics with the facility of continuous upgradation. These lectures are available in the digital as well as web form. Almost all of these lectures are prepared by the faculty of IITs and IISC Bangalore. The facility is first of its kind in the state.

Well maintained spacious reading rooms are available for reference to various journals, books, magazines and newspapers.

ITM (Group of Institutions) library provides its services to members through the wings of Central library and 9 Departmental libraries which collectively support the teaching, research and extension programmes of the oganisation. All students, faculty members and employees of the organization are entitled to make use of the Library Facilities on taking library membership. The working of the library is regulated by duly constituted library committee of the oganisation.

The organization library is computerized with the support of Soul & E-Granthalaya software packages which is an integrated multi-user library management system that supports all in-house operations of the Library. Both the softwares consist of modules on acquisition, cataloguing, circulation, serial control and Online Public Access Catalogue.
